Bristol party starters Distilled x AKA have broken out of Bristol and are en route to the capital for a midweek showdown.
They will be joining with one of London’s most renowned spaces – Brixton’s Phonox – a 500 capacity venue that has hosted a collection of the world’s most acclaimed DJs. Expect hi-class lighting and dynamic sounds delivered by a state of the art sound-system, as you pave your way into the heart of Brixton.
Wednesday 21st August
418 Brixton Rd, Brixton
[London Modular Alliance]
Joining us from their den in Hackney Wick are these modular synth aficionados who, having provided music machinery for the likes of Aphex Twin, Underworld, Tessela (even Radiohead), can claim to have had a pretty significant role in electronic music history. We should certainly get a taste for this is they showcase a well-worked arsenal of electro and breakbeat rollers – be prepared.
[Dancers End Records]
Rising stars up North and owners of a label whose discography continues to impress, this fraternal duo have already taken part in our journey as we have endeavoured to tame the Bristol underground; it only makes sense they join us as we take the party across the M4 to unchartered waters as they blend a mixture of disco, house and minimal.
Founder and DJ over at Labyrinth, Nick Castle has injected the capital with a new wave of melodic sounds through a series of carefully crafted events. Having hosted innervisions titan Âme [live] and with an upcoming Keinemusik showcase during Notting Hill Carnival, he is providing London with forward-thinking sounds. His prowess on the decks should not be underestimated too: expect a journey into all things melodic x experimental.
